About Me

Hi there!

My name is Allie Stone and welcome to StoneDesigns, my personal web development blog and portfolio. I have always been playing with computers since I was a young kid, but when the Internet came out, I was fascinated by it. I have always been interested in art and creativity, but being able to combine code and design to create a final polished product has become my biggest passion.

I studied psychology at Virginia Commonwealth University before attending DeVry University Online for a bachelors in Multimedia Design and Development. I have been able to take what I learned in psychology and apply it to usability and user interface designs for websites (you may be surprised how much cognitive psychology plays into human computer interaction).

I have been working in the web development field on websites, emails, and various digital media for the web projects since 2008. I am currently employed at an animal health technology firm in Silver Spring, Maryland as their web designer.
